a welcome escape from the lack of topography in the surrounding farmland.

The Sporting Club, home of Mt. Chicago, the
105' wall (reportedly was the tallest indoor climbing wall in the world-
have you ever noticed that Chicago needs to have the tallest/largest/
biggest of so many things, i.e. the tallest building, the biggest
fountain, the largest post office, etc? Sorry, I got off the subject
there.) the best way to use the wall is to know a member. Last time
I checked, the guest pass is $12 plus a first time fee (I am not
sure of the amount, but it is a lot, maybe $10 - $25 depending on
experience). But this is cheaper than a membership ($1000 initially,
$80/month).The wall is definitely worth the time if you can spare the
cash. But it can get very crowded on the weekends or after work
hours. There are only 3 ropes on the wall. The wall is made by
EntrePrises and uses there panel system.
